AA tops Which? car breakdown services league

AA car breakdown was top for customer satisfaction.

The AA is top of the Which? annual breakdown services customer satisfaction league, published today.

The company scored 84%, beating Britannia Rescue and the RAC, which both achieved 82%.

Considering other factors, such as speed of arrival and car repairs, the AA was top overall with 78%.

The RAC came second, with 73% and Britannia was third, on 70%.

Our breakdown services survey is the largest and most robust in the UK.

We used information from 10,772 Which? members who’d experienced a car breakdown in the previous 12 months.

The AA reached 45% of breakdowns within half-an-hour compared with the RAC figure of 41%, while Britannia scored highest for politeness over the phone.

Of the eight companies surveyed, Europ Assistance had the poorest overall score - at 50%.

Green Flag members were less likely than average to get a repair at the roadside.

Which? Car editor Richard Headland said: ‘After shelling out more than £100 for cover in some cases, it’s reasonable to expect to be back on the road sooner rather than later. The AA is unlikely to keep you hanging around on the hard shoulder, but some aspects of Green Flag’s service need patching up.’

British Invasion CD - While the Beatles still largely stuck to love songs on Rubber Soul, the lyrics represented a quantum leap in terms of thoughtfulness, maturity, and complex ambiguities. Musically, too, it was a substantial leap forward, with intricate folk-rock arrangements that reflected the increasing influence of Dylan and the Byrds. The group and George Martin were also beginning to expand the conventional instrumental parameters of the rock group, using a sitar on “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown),” Greek-like guitar lines on “Michelle” and “Girl,” fuzz bass on “Think for Yourself,” and a piano made to sound like a harpsichord on the instrumental break of “In My Life.” While John and Paul were beginning to carve separate songwriting identities at this point, the album is full of great tunes, from “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)” and “Michelle” to “Girl,” “I’m Looking Through You,” “You Won’t See Me,” “Drive My Car,” and “Nowhere Man” (the last of which was the first Beatle song to move beyond romantic themes entirely). Today, Iâd like to talk with you about a subject that I know is on everyoneâs mind, and thatâs the state of our economy. Yesterday, we received a report on our Gross Domestic Product. Thatâs a measure of our overall economic performance. The report showed that in the first few months of this year, the recession we faced when I took office was even deeper than anyone thought at the time. It told us how close we were to the edge.

But it also revealed that in the last few months, the economy has done measurably better than expected. And many economists suggest that part of this progress is directly attributable to the Recovery Act.
